Remedial Massage is performed by trained Remedial Massage Therapists with a sound understanding of the human body. They work specifically with muscles and other soft tissue structures to help decrease pain, relieve tension, and restore motion.

Due to their recognition as trained professionals and ability for patients to claim rebates from their private health funds, you’ll get more than just a massage. Your Remedial Massage Therapist will come up with a treatment plan tailored to you. To do so, they’ll assess your posture, identify your problem areas, and refer to the information you provide on your intake form as well as in person.

After your initial assessment, your Remedial Massage Therapist will leave the room, dim the lighting, and allow you to get comfortable on the treatment table. Towel techniques are used throughout to protect your privacy.

The Remedial Massage techniques used will be varied and flexible to your needs. They can include relaxation massage, soft tissue massage techniques, sports focused massage, postural focused massage, pregnancy massage, Swedish massage techniques, myofascial release massage, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue massage techniques. Once the Remedial Massage is finished your Remedial Massage Therapist will leave the room, allowing you to get changed before returning with post treatment advice, exercises, stretches, further treatment recommendations, or anything else they think will help you to manage any problem areas.
